Booking & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Private Appointments

A £15 booking deposit is required to secure each private appointment.

The £15 booking deposit forms part of the total price of your session and is not an additional charge.

If you need to change your appointment, please give at least 48 hours' notice. With at least 48 hours' notice, your booking deposit may be transferred once to a new appointment date.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice and missed appointments will result in the loss of the £15 booking deposit.

This applies to private appointments, including Reiki sessions and Recalibration Personal Journey sessions, whether a package has been paid in full or is being paid weekly.

Group Sessions and Events

Places booked for group sessions and events are reserved specifically for the person who booked them.

If you are unable to attend, please contact The Boog Portal as soon as possible. Transfers to another date may be offered at our discretion, but are not guaranteed.

Missed sessions and no-shows are not eligible for a refund or repeated transfer to future dates.

If The Boog Portal Cancels

If The Boog Portal cancels your appointment, group session or event, you will be offered a transfer to another date or a refund of the amount paid.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers from The Boog Portal may be purchased as experience-specific vouchers for a named in-person experience, or as monetary vouchers in the amounts of £25, £50, £75 or £100.

Eligible experiences for gift vouchers at launch include Wednesday Sound Bath (£10), The Monthly Reset (£22), Reiki & Crystal Healing (£45), Vibroacoustic Therapy (£50), and Breathe & Boogie (at the current advertised price). Reiki Training and Meditation in Motion are not available for gift redemption at this time.

Gift vouchers are activated and the digital certificate is emailed only after payment has been manually confirmed by The Boog Portal against Monzo payment records. Until payment is confirmed, no voucher is active and no certificate is sent.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The date of purchase is the date payment is received, as verified by The Boog Portal. Any unused balance remaining after that date expires, unless UK law requires otherwise or we agree otherwise in writing.

After payment is confirmed, we email the digital gift certificate to the purchaser at the email address provided at purchase. We do not automatically email the certificate to the recipient. The purchaser is responsible for sharing the voucher reference with the person who will use it.

To redeem a voucher, contact The Boog Portal at hello@theboogportal.com with the unique voucher reference and the experience or date you would like. Redemption depends on availability, any information we need for a safe booking, and the rest of this Booking & Cancellation Policy. A voucher does not secure a place on a particular date until we confirm that booking.

If you hold a Wednesday Sound Bath voucher, please contact Lisa before attending so the redemption can be recorded.

Experience-specific vouchers are issued for a named experience. The recipient may ask to change to another eligible in-person experience, subject to availability. If the new experience costs more, the difference must be paid by another accepted method. If it costs less, unused value remains as voucher credit until used or the voucher expires. Unused credit is not paid out in cash, except where a refund is required by law.

Monetary vouchers may be used across eligible in-person sessions and may be partially redeemed. If a session costs less than the remaining balance, the unused amount stays on the voucher. If a session costs more, the difference must be paid before the booking is confirmed. We keep a record of the remaining balance against the voucher reference.

Once a voucher (or part of a voucher balance) has been used to secure a private appointment:

With at least 48 hours' notice of cancellation, we restore the full voucher value used for that booking to the voucher, for use before the voucher expires.

With less than 48 hours' notice, or if you miss a private appointment (no-show), we deduct a £15 cancellation charge from the voucher value used for that booking and restore any remaining value as voucher credit. This £15 charge applies only to private appointments. It does not apply to group sound baths or events. It is consistent with our private appointment booking deposit approach and is intended to reflect the late-cancellation or missed private slot. It does not automatically forfeit the whole voucher balance.

Group session and event bookings made with a gift voucher follow the Group Sessions and Events section of this policy, subject to your statutory rights.

If The Boog Portal cancels an appointment, group session or event booked with a gift voucher, we will offer a transfer to another suitable date, restore the relevant voucher value, or provide the appropriate refund, and we will respect your statutory rights.

Where voucher value is restored, the voucher remains valid for at least three calendar months from the date of that restoration if its existing expiry is sooner. The expiry date is never brought forward. The next booking must be reserved before the voucher expires. The session itself may take place afterwards.

If a certificate or voucher reference is lost, contact us from the purchaser's email address. After we verify the purchase, we will reissue the certificate free of charge. We are not responsible for unauthorised redemption of a reference that was shared or lost, once redeemed by us in good faith.

Gift vouchers are intended to be given as gifts and may be passed to another person. They must not be commercially resold. They cannot be exchanged for cash, except where a refund is required by law. The person attending remains responsible for providing any information we need for a safe session.

If our publicly advertised session prices change, an experience-specific voucher remains valid for the named experience (or an agreed eligible alternative) during the validity period. Monetary vouchers hold a fixed sterling balance. Any shortfall against a higher session price is payable separately. No cash difference is paid out if prices fall.

Nothing in these gift voucher terms excludes or limits rights you may have under UK consumer law. If you buy a gift voucher online or otherwise at a distance, you may have a 14-day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations for certain purchases. Where that right applies and you cancel within the cooling-off period in accordance with the law, you are entitled to a refund as the law requires. Issuing or emailing a digital gift certificate does not, by itself, remove cooling-off rights. Whether cooling-off continues after a voucher is issued or partly used depends on the type of purchase and the circumstances under UK law.
